Leading the charge in this vital mission are:
Adebowale Mofikoya, MD
Dr. Adebowale Mofikoya aligns his practice closely with Mercyland
Psychiatry’s mission and values. He offers expert and empathetic care
to his patients and their families.
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, he
holds board certifications in child and adolescent psychiatry as well as
general psychiatry.
Originally hailing from Nigeria, Dr. Mofikoya pursued his early
education and earned his medical degree from the University of Jos in
Nigeria. Seeking further specialization, he relocated to the US and
completed his General Psychiatry residency at the Department of
Neurology and Psychiatry at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
He further honed his expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry during
his fellowship at the Vermont Center for Youth and Family at the
University of Vermont, where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Mofikoya is deeply engaged with the professional community,
regularly participating in various local, national, and international
psychiatric conferences and contributing to the dialogue on child and
adolescent psychiatry across the globe.
Jean Trost
Jean is our psychiatric nurse practitioner. With a background as an Advanced Practice Nurse and a board-certified Clinical Nurse Specialist in mental health, her focus is primarily on adult and geriatric populations.
With more than 25 years in the healthcare sector, Jean has a wealth of experience, ranging from direct patient care to teaching and mentorship.
